Prof. Richard Grimes

Richard Grimes qualified as a solicitor in 1977 and worked initially in a law centre and later as a full-equity partner for a provisional law firm, handling, principally, publicly funded cases. He has since worked in a number of universities in the UK and overseas and for the last 25 years has devoted his time to developing experiential means of learning about law and the legal system that focus on the application of theory to practice in both civil and common law jurisdictions. He is now a visiting professor at Charles University, Prague and is an independent legal education and access to justice consultant.

 

JUDr. Simona Trávníčková, Ph.D.

Simona Trávníčková received her PhD degree in private international law from the Masaryk University Law Faculty in Brno. In the years 2014–2015 she worked there as the head of the Department of Skills Teaching and Studies Innovation and taught courses focusing on the development of legal and soft skills as well as pedagogical skills of PhD students and young lecturers. She focuses on improving legal literacy of the lay public and on firm development through various teaching methods (e.g. outdoor management training, experiential learning or applied improvisation). She organises workshops and courses focusing on personality and skills development through theatre and applied improvisation.
