International workshop on "Teaching refugee and migration law"
Many of us teach refugee and/or migration law. What methods do we use? How beneficial are law clinics for us? How do internships work as a method of teaching at our faculties? How do we use simulations? We believe that we can inspire each other. We believe that through sharing our teaching programmes, syllabuses, methods on how to teach knowledge and methods on how to train skills we may enrich our teaching skills and our school curricula. And that is the reason why we decided to organize this workshop on teaching refugee and migration law.
Four interactive presentations try to bridge our possible fears and diffidence. We are offering a possibility to debate and learn more about these four issues: building a legal clinic, providing feedback, teaching theory for future practice and problem-based learning.
We intend to build up the whole workshop primarily on sharing the best practices of all of us, as well as on getting inspiration from each other and, hopefully, on learning about how to best overcome our common challenges in teaching. Therefore, we would warmly welcome not only your passive but also active participation.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Prague in December!
